365PDX- Highlights from Energy Trust Better Living Show

I just got back from the Better Living Show. It was actually fairly awesome. I got some great ideas on improving my worm composting, saw some neat chicken coop concepts, small space green houses, an entire row of businesses dedicated to solar power, pet some baby llamas, checked out an electric motorcycle and boat, fell in love with a few eco-kitchen remodels and of course there were  the free samples: organic ice cream, organic beer, chocolates, wholistic dog food (which my dog Kodi refused to eat) and lots of other goodies. Honestyly though, I was most excited about the toilet with sink attached that automatically turns on  (clean water) when you flush- I tried to get one years ago when I did bathroom remodel, and they weren’t legal in the U.S. yet…it’s nice to see that they are now available.

The Better Living Show is  open until 9pm tonight. Check it out tomorrow as well.

The Natural Awakenings Booth said they still have lots of Chai Lip Balm to give away to 365PDX readers.
