365 Things to do in Portland day 26: A late night visit to Le Bistro Montage…
If its past midnight and you’re out with a dozen friends and you’re all hungry and looking for a restaurant, there is a very good chance you will find yourself at Le Bistro Montage. Located under the Hawthorne Bridge in Eastside Industrial District, Le Montage offers Portlander’s a unique dining experience: With its long communal tables, your large group will all be able to sit together.  Come with just a few people and you may find yourself placed next to other diners.  The menu is Cajun inspired- serving alligator jambalaya, Cajun Chicken, Frog Legs, Spicy Mac & Cheese, Corn Bread and the ever popular Oyster Shooters.
If your looking for a quiet dining spot you are at the wrong place- the the wait staff is loud (and have a reputation for being rude),  the music is always turned up a few notches too high, and large groups of people often add a somewhat rowdy ambiance.
Of course, the Montage is most known for what happens with your food after you are done.  Instead of of giving you a to-go box, the wait staff will wrap your left overs in a tin foil art masterpiece.
