365 Things to do in Portland #114: Parks and Recreation Presents Movies in the Park.

All summer long you can bike to your favorite Portland Parks and see free movies. There are over 40 movies being shown through out the summer- most of them are on weekends, but there are also movies being shown during the week.

Movies in the Park will being showing mostly newer popular movies like Twilight Saga:New Moon, Star Trek (2009), Avatar, and Transformers. They also have animated movies like Kung Fu Panda and The Fantastic Mr. Fox, plus a few classics like Guys and Dolls and The Lost World. Most importantly though, they are showing the best movie of all time- The Princess Bride (August 6th Mt. Scott Park).

Tonight you can see The Twilight Saga:New Moon at Colonel Summers Park as well as Breaking Away at St. Johns Park  (1979).
