365 Things to do in Portland #140: PDX Bridge Festival

The PDX Bridge Festival starts today. This brand new festival is a two week celebration of our local bridges, and has over 60 events, tours, speakers and films. Over the last year or so, I’ve seen several lead up events to this celebration, and they were really done well, so I have a feeling we’re in for an awesome treat the next few weeks.

I’m going to be highlighting a few upcoming bridge fest events in the next two weeks, so won’t get too detailed today about what we can expect. If you’re curious though, head over to the PDX Bridge Fest Website. I know it’s a little late for this one, but if you’re free tonight, head down to the Olympic Mills Commerce Center (107 SE Washington) for the kick off event. Mayor Adams will be speaking at 7pm, bridge art from 50 artists, djs, dance and a preview of the ‘Battle For The Bridges’ Wanderlust Circus Show. The event tonight goes until 11pm.
