365 Things to do in Portland #170: Portland Bacon Fest 2010

Bacon lovers, today is your day! Head over to 18th and East Burnside in the Kerns neighborhood for a full day of bacon debauchery.  Apparently they’re planning on things getting a little crazy over there, as this is a 21+ only event. It’s also $5 entry (bring canned food to donate to Oregon Food Bank too).

I don’t actually know too much about this one- it looks like there will be live music, and several bacon events, including a bacon toss, bacon eating contest and a bacon dance-off.

Obviously Portlander’s love their bacon, as 2500 people showed up last year for this event. Since this is Portland after all, I’m just wondering if there will be a bacon protest at any point?

1800 East Burnside noon-8pm
