The Overlook neighborhood is just West of I5 from approximately Freemont to Rosa Parks Blvd. It is a neighborhood that has seen much growth in the last 10 years, mainly due to the Interstate Max line. I believe this neighborhood will still see a significant amount of growth, as the zoning on Interstate Ave was changed to allow for more density, which will eventually encourage developers to build bigger mixed use projects along Interstate (we’re already seeing some of that.) A few years ago, the neighborhood also got a New Seasons, which has made it much more desirable for many folks looking to live in a neighborhood where they can easily get healthy food. On a sunny day, residents enjoy hanging out at Overlook Park, and a bike ride down Willamette Blvd will reward you with a view “overlooking” the Willamette river.
