Lair Hill and Corbett are two very old Southwest Portland areas that border downtown Portland. Lair Hill is the NW part of neighborhood, bordered by Barber Blvd on the South and West, 405 on the North & on the East side Naito Parkway. If you love older homes (specifically Victorians) you will really appreciate the Lair Hill area, as it seems to have more Victorians than any neighborhood in Portland. You will also find some condos (mostly small converted apartment buildings) and a few new construction townhomes. Lair Hill is very close to downtown Portland as well as OHSU- which now has a tram in the sky over the neighborhood.
The Corbett area is South of Lair Hill and borders SW Naito on the Westside, I405 to the North, and on the East, Macadam Ave. Corbett also has a lot of older homes, with more new construction than Lair Hill.
The Terwilliger area is also part of this neighborhood, but on my site, you can find homes for sale in the Terwilleger area separately. In 2006 the Corbett- Terwilliger- Lair Hill neighborhood changed its name to South Portland, and now also includes the South Waterfront area.
